How to Renew Your Domain

Last updated on Apr 30, 2025

Renewing your domain ensures you maintain control over your website address, email services, and online presence. If a domain expires, your website could go offline and the domain could become available to the public.

This guide covers how to manually renew a domain through your Eco Web Hosting client area.

🔐 Step 1: Log in to Your Client Area

Head to https://my.ecowebhosting.co.uk and sign in with your credentials.

🌐 Step 2: Go to Your Domain List

  1. Click Domains > My Domains in the top menu

  2. You’ll see all domains linked to your account, along with their expiry dates and renewal statuses

🔁 Step 3: Renew a Domain

  1. Find the domain you want to renew

  2. Click the Manage button

  3. Look for the Renew Now option (usually in the sidebar or near the expiry date)

  4. Select your desired renewal period (e.g. 1 year, 2 years)

  5. Complete checkout to process the renewal

🔄 Prefer Auto-Renewal?

To avoid manual renewals, you can enable auto-renewal for any domain.

⚠️ What Happens If You Let a Domain Expire?

  • Your website and email may stop working

  • You may lose access to the domain

  • Recovery may require a redemption fee, or it may become available for others to register

We always recommend keeping auto-renewal enabled and ensuring your payment details are up to date.
