How to Update Nameservers for Your Domain

Last updated on Apr 30, 2025

Nameservers control where your domain points β€” for example, to your Eco Web Hosting server, a third-party platform, or another DNS provider.

This guide shows you how to update your domain’s nameservers through your client area.

πŸ” Step 1: Log in to Your Client Area

Visit https://my.ecowebhosting.co.uk and log in.

🌐 Step 2: Open Domain Management

  1. Go to Domains > My Domains

  2. Click the Manage button next to the domain you want to update

βš™οΈ Step 3: Edit Nameservers

  1. Scroll to the Nameservers section

  2. Choose one of the following options:

    • Use default nameservers (for hosting with Eco Web Hosting)

    • Use custom nameservers (for external DNS services)

  3. If using custom nameservers, enter at least two (e.g. ns1.example.com, ns2.example.com)

  4. Click Save Changes

πŸ”„ DNS changes may take up to 24–48 hours to fully propagate worldwide.
